China’s ECEC signs MEG project design contract with Yangmei Group

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s East China Engineering Science and Technology Co (ECEC) has signed a design contract with Yangmei Group for a 400,000 tonne/year monoethylene glycol (MEG) project, according to an official statement from ECEC on Tuesday.

The 400,000 tonne/year MEG project will consist of two units with a capacity of 200,000 tonnes/year each, and the total cost of design amounts to yuan (CNY) 60m ($9.88m), according to the statement.

The project will be owned by Shouyang Chemical, a subsidiary of Yangmei Group, it added.

Details on the construction were not disclosed.
