SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwan’s Ming Dih Group plans to shut its expandable polystyrene (EPS) plants in Taiwan and China for around a week during the Lunar New Year holidays in late January, a company source said on Thursday.
The company’s EPS unit in Thailand, however, will continue to operate during this time, he added.
Ming Dih operates a 180,000 tonne/year unit in Taiwan, a 100,000 tonne/year unit in China and a 40,000 tonne/year unit in Thailand.
Other Taiwanese EPS producers include Loyal Group and Taita Chemical.
