LONDON (ICIS)--Price expectations for the February flexible polyols contract price were mixed as the market eagerly awaits the propylene feedstock settlement, sources said Wednesday.

Two producers are targeting increases of €50/tonne while others in the market are expecting prices to roll over next month. All eyes are on the propylene settlement expected at the end of this week.

There were reports of reduced availability and delivery postponements owing to Dow’s ongoing production problems in Terneuzen, the Netherlands, however sources said the reduced capacity at the plant has had little effect on the market overall.

January flexible polyols prices were assessed stable from December at €1,760-1,830/tonne FD (free delivered) NWE (northwest Europe).
