SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Taiwanese refiner Formosa Petrochemical Corp (FPCC) awarded a tender which offered 300,000 bbl of jet kerosene for 9-13 March loading, an industry source said on Friday.
FPCC awarded the tender to three Singapore-based traders who will each receive 100,000 bbl parcels of jet-kerosene. Two of the parcels were awarded at Singapore quotes plus $0.20/bbl FOB (free on board) Mailiao, Taiwan. The third parcel was based on a stronger level of around Singapore quotes plus $0.60/bbl FOB Mailiao, the source added.
The premium for the higher-priced parcel was buoyed by the buyer’s requirement for jet-kerosene for gasoil blending purposes, the source said.
The FPCC tender closed on 12 February and had validity until 13 February.
Previously, FPCC awarded a tender offering 300,000 bbl of jet kerosene for loading on 12-18 February to PetroChina in Hong Kong at a price of around Singapore quotes plus $0.45/bbl FOB Mailiao.
