SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Xuzhou Haitian Petrochemical switched to produce polypropylene random (PP-R) pipe at its 200,000 tonne/year PP plant in Jiangsu province on 24 February from PP flat yarn after its restart, a company source said on Wednesday.
The company shut the plant on 28 January because of squeezed margins and restarted it on 21 February, the source said.
PP-R pipe would give the company higher netbacks, the source added.
