China’s SBPC plans MDI/TDI Shanghai plants maintenance in April

SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Shanghai BASF Polyurethane Co Ltd (SBPC) is planning to shut down its 160,000 tonne/year toluene diisocynates (TDI) plant in April for annual maintenance, a source close to the company said on Tuesday.

The company plans to take off line the TDI plant from 2-19 April this year, the source added.

The TDI plant, located in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park (SCIP) in Caojing, Shanghai, was built by BASF, Shanghai Hua Yi (Group) Company and Sinopec Shanghai Gao Qiao Petrochemical Corporation, according to the company website.
