SINGAPORE (ICIS)--China’s Sinofiber Jiangsu Co is operating its 50,000 tonne/year nylon 6 plant in Jiangsu province at around 80% capacity after restarting it on 3 March, a company source said on Tuesday.

The plant comprises a 25,000 tonne/year line that produces conventional polyamide 6 chips and a 25,000 tonne/year line that manufactures high-speed polyamide 6 chips.

Both lines were taken off line on 1 February for annual maintenance, the source said.

Prior to the shutdown, the company operated the plant at 70% in January, the source added.
