SINGAPORE (ICIS)--Japan’s JX Nippon Oil and Energy is delaying the restart of its olefins conversion unit (OCU) in Kawasaki by about two weeks to the end of May, a source close to the company said on Monday.
The 140,000 tonne/year propylene unit, which was shut on 25 March, is resuming operations later as the company had to deploy more resources to fix a recent mechanical glitch at its cracker in the same complex, the source said.
The 460,000 tonne/year cracker restarted operations on 1 May after a 10-day outage. ?xml:namespace>
