HOUSTON (ICIS)--Utica East Ohio Midstream will expand its Utica East Ohio (UEO) complex to 1 billion cubic feet/day (bcf/day) of nameplate capacity and processing capacity of more than 1.1 bcf/day, joint venture stakeholder Access Midstream Partners announced on Monday.
Financial details were not disclosed.
The project will include the construction of a second processing train at the Leesville, Ohio, facility and extension of an existing high-pressure pipeline, Access said in a news release.
Previous project plans had capacity reaching 800 million cubic feet/day (mcf/day), a fractionation facility providing 135,000 bbl/day of C2+ capacity and NGL storage capacity of 870,000 bbl.
“Our investment in this expansion at UEO underscores our belief in the long-term viability of the Utica shale,” said Mike Stice, CEO of Access. “This growth not only significantly increases our capacity but will improve access to downstream liquids markets.
UEO is a joint venture with stakes owned by Access (49%), M3 Midstream (30%) and EV Energy Partners (21%).
