Solutia expands German phenolic coating resins capacity

LONDON (CNI)--US nylons and fibres producer Solutia is to expand production capacity at its phenolic coating resins plant in Wiesbaden, Germany by about 15%.

Solutia said the expansion is scheduled for completion in December this year. Details of investment costs and current capacity were not immediately available.

Steven Zollman, Solutia Coating Resins business director, said: "We’re excited about trends we see in the market for internal packaging coatings. With our strong portfolio of phenolic resins, this expansion project will ensure that Solutia can satisfy our customers’ growing demand for these products in the coming years."
