India’s RIL cracker expected to be back up by end Oct or early Nov

DUBAI (ICIS)–India’s Reliance Industries (RIL) is expected to restart its cracker at its Hazira petrochemicals production hub in Gujarat state by the end of October or early November at the latest, industry sources said on Tuesday.

The cracker was shut down at the end of September and the scheduled maintenance is expected to last about four weeks, according to the sources.

According to the ICIS plants and projects database, the cracker’s ethylene capacity is 825,000 tonnes/year.

The company was not immediately available for comment.
