ICIS Editorial

LONDON (ICIS)–The availability of Asian isopropanol (IPA) in Europe has increased during May compared with previous months, although weak demand and ample supply is limiting further interest in this tradeflow.

Asia-Pacific IPA report editor Julia Tan speaks to Europe editor Nick Cleeve about market conditions and the impact of upstream costs in both regions.

IPA is a solvent used in many industrial and consumer products and as an extractant. Applications include cosmetics, personal care products (hand sanitizers), de-icers, paints and resins, pharmaceuticals and inks and adhesives.
