ICIS acquires information provider Heren Energy

LONDON (ICIS news)–Petrochemicals information business ICIS has bought Heren Energy Ltd, the UK company said on Tuesday.

London-based Heren Energy provides gas, electricity and carbon emissions market information, the Reed Business Information subsidiary added.

“The acquisition of Heren Energy Ltd provides ICIS with a strong opportunity to extend our footprint outside of petrochemicals and into other energy markets,” ICIS publishing director Christopher Flook said.

There were strong synergies between ICIS and Heren, he added.
