Covid-19 Impact on Chinese LNG markets

ICIS has assessed the coronavirus outbreak and its immediate impact on China’s gas demand to determine future liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports.

Across the whole of 2020, the net impact of the virus is forecast to remove 2.9m tonnes of LNG demand, equivalent to 4.2% of this year’s forecast for LNG imports, relative to the pre-virus scenario.
