Russia’s Poliom shuts down PP production for planned maintenance

MOSCOW (MRC)–Russian producer Poliom (a joint venture by Titan, SIBUR and Gazprom Neft) has shut down its polypropylene (PP) production for a scheduled maintenance, according to MRC analysts.

Polyom shut its PP production capacities on 25 October.

Sources at the company said the outage would last for about two weeks.

Virtually, this is the last scheduled maintenance at Russian PP producers this year.

On 26 October, Stavrolen resumed its PP production after a long shutdown for a turnaround.

As MRC reported earlier, Poliom produced about 161,000 tonnes of PP in the first nine months of 2017.

Poliom’s annual PP production capacity is 210,000 tonnes.
