MOSCOW (MRC)–Kazakhstan’s sole polypropylene (PP) producer Neftekhim has resumed production at its 30,000 tonnes/year plant after a scheduled maintenance, according to an ICIS-MRC Price report.

Neftekhim resumed production and shipments of PP to consumers on 17 September, sources said.

The plant’s shutdown, started on 25 July, lasted far longer than the one-month planned stoppage.

Neftekhim also produces methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE).

MRC, a partner of ICIS, produces polymers news and pricing reports from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.
