higher freight rates and poor producer margins,
versus generally weak demand and ample supply,
are causing mixed views on what lies ahead.

French policymakers this week are understood to
have backed a raft of new measures to reduce
plastic waste, including a ban on single-use
materials by 2040.

Falling water levels on key chemicals shipping
route the River Rhine have resulted in reduced
loading rates for vessels and the prospect of
higher transportation costs for materials,
sources and water agencies said on Wednesday.

the implementation of a €450/tonne tax on

financial analysts cited by the research
