LONDON (ICIS)–Clariant has appointed internal executive Stephan Lynen as its new CFO, effective 1 April, the Swiss chemicals producer said on Wednesday.

Lynen will succeed Patrick Jany, who will become CFO at logistics firm AP Moller – Maersk. Jany has been Clariant’s CFO since 2006.

The upcoming CFO has been at Clariant for more than 20 years. He currently heads the Additives business unit.

“We very much regret Patrick Jany’s decision to leave Clariant”, said the company’s CEO, Hariolf Kottmann.

“Patrick Jany has been with our company for 25 years and has played a major role in our success story … We wish him all the best for his future endeavours as CFO of A.P. Moller – Maersk.”

Clariant is due to publish its 2019 financial results on Thursday.

ICIS will publish an interview with the outgoing CFO this week
