Russia’s SayanskKhimPlast shuts PVC production for maintenance

MOSCOW (MRC)–Russia’s SayanskKhimPlast has shut down its polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production for a scheduled maintenance, according to an MRC Price report.
A spokesperson for the company, located in the Irkutsk region near Mongolia’s border, said PVC production had been shut on 8 July and is planned to last 25 days.
The plant’s annual production capacity is 350,000 tonnes.
Russia’s second largest PVC producer RusVinyl also intends to shut its production for a two-week scheduled maintenance from 13 July, its plant has an annual production capacity of 330,000 tonnes.
