HOUSTON (ICIS)–US and European polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) markets have been through the wringer in 2020, along with most other industries, and both regions have been impacted by the recent Hurricane Laura in the US Gulf.

US PE supplies are likely to remain limited heading into the fourth quarter amid lingering production impacts from Hurricane Laura while demand is expected to continue to outperform the broader economy, lessening product available to Europe.
