Russia ups PE, PVC, PS output in January

MOSCOW (MRC)–Russia’s total output of polyethylene (PE), polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and polystyrene (PS) was up in January, according to an announcement of the Russian statistical agency Rosstat released on Friday.

In January, the country’s total production of PE was 21.5% up year on year and 3.3% up month on month at 317,000 tonnes.

PVC output was 1.1% down year on year and 3.1% up month on month at 95,600 tonnes.

In January, PS production was 4.5% up year on year and 0.9% up month on month at 49,200 tonnes.
