HOUSTON (ICIS)–Nearly 30% of the current US Gulf oil production remains shut in on Wednesday, the US Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) said.

Conditions continue to improve with offshore gas production as well, standing at 39% shut in.

Oil and gas producers in the region have experienced an uneven recovery, due to damages of some facilities, power outages in the region and lack of crews.

The following table shows the number of platforms and rigs evacuated, including the total of oil and natural gas that has been shut in.

Total %
Platforms evacuated 36 6.43
Rigs evacuated 0 0
Oil shut in (bbl/day) 537,193 29.52
Gas shut in (bcf/day) 878.70 37.40
