HOUSTON (ICIS)–John Wood Group paid Enterprise Products $115m to settle a lawsuit over delays and cost overruns at the midstream company’s propane dehydrogenation (PDH) project, Enterprise said on Wednesday.

Enterprise awarded the contract to Foster Wheeler in 2013. Foster Wheeler was later acquired by John Wood Group.

Enterprise filed the lawsuit three years later in 151st Judicial Civil District Court in Harris county, Texas.

Enterprise terminated the contract and awarded another one to Optimized Process Designs, which completed the plant.

The plant became fully operational in 2018.

The PDH unit is in Mont Belvieu, Texas, and it has a propylene capacity of 1.65bn lb/year (750,000 tonnes/year).

Wood issued a statement confirming the settlement.
