Indorama-led consortium completes purchase of Germany’s Trevira

SINGAPORE (ICIS)–A consortium between Thailand’s Indorama Ventures and Italy-based Sinterama has completed the acquisition of German polyester producer Trevira, Indorama said on Monday.
Indorama now controls 75% of Trevira, with polyester yarns maker Sinterama owning the remaining 25%. The acquisition was completed on 1 July, Indorama said in a statement.
Bavaria-based Trevira will continue to operate as an independent company.
Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.
