US ethanol production falls; supplies, demand rise

HOUSTON (ICIS)–US ethanol supplies rose for the week ending 3 February, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) said on Wednesday.
Supplies rose to 22.085m bbl, from 21.87m bbl the prior week. Year on year, supplies are 3.8% weaker than 22.956m bbl.
Consumption rose to 875,000 bbl/day from 837,000 bbl/day. Year on year, consumption is 2% stronger than 858,000 bbl/day.
Production fell to 1.055m bbl/day from 1.061m bbl/day the prior week. Year on year, production is 8.9% stronger than 969,000 bbl/day.
