BLOG: China’s PX self-sufficiency drive shows conventional thinking failure

China’s increased efforts to achieve paraxylene (PX) self-sufficiency once again underline the failure of conventional thinking. PX could now go the way of purified terephthalic acid (PTA) and almost entirely disappear as an import opportunity.
