PTTGCA purchases land for proposed US cracker ahead of late-2017 FID
PTTGC America has exercised a purchase option on a 168-acre property in Belmont County, Ohio, for a proposed ethane cracker that it expects to make a financial investment decision (FID) on late this year, a spokesperson for the project confirmed on Monday.

US crude oil futures end streak of increases on higher supply
US crude oil futures snapped their longest streak of increases in more than five years on Wednesday, tracking expectations that global supply will increase.

US June ethylene contracts settle down 2.75 cents/lb, not market-wide
US ethylene contracts for June have settled for most participants at a decrease of 2.75 cents/lb from the prior month amid strong production, although the agreement is not marketwide, sources said on Thursday.

Formosa US polymer units in Texas restarting after outage
Formosa Plastics is in the process of restarting its polymer plants and other derivative units in Point Comfort, Texas that were shut down before the 4th July holiday because of power outage, a spokesman said on Friday.
