LyondellBasell has taken a
final investment decision on the construction of
a propylene oxide (PO) and tertiary butyl alcohol
(TBA) plant at its Channelview, Texas, site with a total
capital expenditure (capex) of $2.4bn, the US chemical major
said on Friday.

European polyethylene (PE)
buyers and sellers are seeing the approach of the bottom of
the current cycle, depending on the grade, sources said on

ADNOC, Borealis aim for 10m

2023
ADNOC and Borouge aim to
expand production of polymers from the current 4.5m
tonnes/year to 10m tonnes/year at their UAE’s Abu Dhabi joint
venture Borouge by 2023, the country’s energy major and the
Austrian polymers and fertilizers producer said on
