ICIS publishes a number of reports about the fertilizer industry and about various commodities.
We publish a weekly report on various products. We also have daily updates and we produce monthly forecasts called the outlooks, which are based on supply-demand analysis for the three different fertilizer products: urea, ammonia and DAP. They forecast prices over a 12 month period. Then there is real-time information on ICIS news.
Our customers use the reports in different ways depending on the function they are in. If they are traders or buyers they would probably look at every single detail of purchases or price developments to understand what to do next. Where to sell. Buyers would probably look at the most convenient time to get into the market to buy, where they can buy cheaper,.
Then there are statistics person that need to follow everything that’s happening in terms of plant closures, product developments.
Another function is particularly for the forecasting reports. There are company managers or company developers, they look at particularly times to invest in new projects.
