ICIS is implementing a process of rolling consultation on all of its pricing methodologies. This consultation paper is part of this formal process and covers all of the ICIS primary price points included in the ethylene weekly publications.
The consultation asks both general questions about the suitability of the ICIS pricing methodology and questions addressing specific ethylene market issues.

Summary and Decision
ICIS received feedback regarding the assessment of ethylene prices during periods of limited liquidity and a comment on weighing deals based on market position.
Feedback was also received highlighting concerns about decreasing liquidity in the European market and its potential impact on the Monthly Contract Price (MCP) system.
ICIS will not propose any immediate changes to the methodology at this time but continues to welcome feedback on its methodologies outside of the formal consultation process.
Any decision to change this methodology will be communicated to subscribers using the usual channels and with the usual notice period.
