Summary of responses
Following the recent announcement that ICIS would be launching a formal methodology consultation process, we have received one confidential response from a key market player.
ICIS Decision
The sole response does not provide sufficient feedback for ICIS to change its current methodology for deals-based reporting of melamine markets in any of the geographical regions.
The respondent made some confidential suggestions about market segmentation in the report, and about using a third party company to collect information on behalf of ICIS. This was discussed with ICIS senior management, but it was decided that this was not feasible for reasons of compliance and practicality.
