Asia Plastics Outlook 2019

Overview:

Demand growth for PE in most Asian markets is expected to be slower in 2019, in tandem with the global economic slowdown, uncertainty surrounding the geopolitical market and rising environmental concerns on plastic waste. In the meanwhile, Polypropylene (PP) spot prices in southeast Asia may continue to be suppressed moving into the first quarter of 2019 as the market continues to grapple with fresh supplies and tepid downstream demand amid global trade tensions.
