Chinese refineries are the world’s largest suppliers because of the high wax content of their crude feedstock.

Producers, consumers and traders have an interest in this report as it reflects market conditions. It is used as a reference, particularly in Asian offers to deep sea regions such as the US.

The market is spot-driven and the main price drivers are Chinese supply. Bulk liquid exports move from China to the US and Europe. Solid paraffin wax, in the form of slabs, is exported to the rest of the world.

However, details of transactions, bids or offers, and demand and supply fundamentals of other wax origins, such as Taiwanese or Japanese wax, are also mentioned.
