When you couple that with our strong offerings in upstream polyethylene terephthalate, also known as PET, then our subscribers know that we have accurate and timely information that they can reply on.

Insight and analysis of factors driving prices.
European recycled polyethylene (R-PET) prices have remained fairly flat in the first quarter of 2014, as gains were limited by weakness in virgin polyethylene terephthalate (PET) prices. Weak Asian virgin PET prices, driven by overcapacity and soft demand, have kept a lid on European virgin PET prices and, as a result, European R-PET prices.
R-PET competes directly with virgin PET in certain applications. European R-PET prices in January remained flat, reflecting seasonally soft demand and weakening virgin PET prices. In February, tight availability of post-consumer bottles, the primary feedstock for the R-PET chain, resulted in slightly higher colourless post-consumer bottle and colourless R-PET flake prices. In March, R-PET prices again rolled over, on the back of weak virgin PET pricing, as R-PET producers sought to protect thin margins.
