Beth Tweddle, world champion

Beth T.jpgThe blog sends its congratulations to Beth Tweddle, new world champion in the gymnastic floor exercises. It had the pleasure of working with her father, Jerry Tweddle (now with Ineos), for many years at ICI. Beth is everything that a world champion should be.

A video of her winning performance (possibly made by Jerry?) can be seen by clicking below“>here.

Paul, I used to work with you when you were at ICI Chlor Chemicals in the 1990s. I was with the PR firm GCI Sterling and we had a lot of fun trying to improve public perceptions around the chemical industry.

I just saw your former colleague Jerry Tweddle on TV and made the Beth connection – we’ll be cheering even more loudly for her.

Having carved out an interesting PR career which included rail privatisation, the nuclear industry and Gazprom, the Russian energy giant, I’m currently a partner at the City PR firm College Hill.

    Best regards,
